ABSTRACT INSTALLATION “HEY!”

This work is about prohibitions, about signs on the streets, what tell us where to go and where not. This installation is a protest, it shouts «stop!» With all its appearance. The colors used here are both eye-catching and repulsive. There is a mixture of curiosity and danger.

The exhibition lasted for a week. During this time I came to the gallery to change the installation. It was important to me that this work has life. First there was a construction, then signs appeared. And each time the work acquired new elements. The final touch was the addition of a red LED strip, it made the installation work completely different. This light tied all the elements of the installation together.
In this work, I introduced an element of the game. The word «Attention» is laid out on the floor in the form of hopscotch game. And also on the opposite wall, I hung reflective stickers with short words — exclamations. In order for them to light up, a viewer had to point a flashlight at them or photograph them with a flash.
