YELLOW CORNER
In this project I study the meanings of yellow, its symbolism.
I work with shape, color and combinatorics. In this project, the processuality is important to me, the way I interact with the material, the performativity of my corporeality. The interplay of yellow color and form, as well as the variability and endless development of my work.

As part of the work on the project, I set myself several tasks: to study the property of the material, to develop a sculpting technique, to study how I interact with the material, processing, grinding, painting. It was also very important to design the fastening system and investigate the variability of the installation configurations.
During the exhibition, it was important for me to create new installation configurations every day. And also document the whole process, take photos, videos and write down your thoughts and impressions. Throughout the project, I kept a sketchbook with sketches and observations.
My work consists of white abstract shapes made of clay. They are pleasant to the touch, have gentle curves, and all have one or more holes. Each figure is unique, as it is the result of the impact of my hands.
In my installation, processuality is important, an experiment that can go on indefinitely. I use two colors, white and yellow. And they carry a symbolic meaning. White is the color of the body, beginning, birth, purity. Yellow is the color of the inner world, the light of the soul.
The figures are suspended in the corner on yellow ropes. They are the support, they connect the forms, and these connections are infinitely changeable. The concept is that during the exhibition, the composition of the installation is changed and documented. Photos and videos were posted on my Instagram account for a week.
For my graduation project, I did a visual study on the various technical and cultural aspects of yellow. As part of the preparation for the project, I did a series of experiments on the yellow and its relationship to various shapes and materials. On their basis, the concept of the "yellow corner" installation was formulated. The installation was carried out in self-isolation mode in the space of my apartment and was broadcast on the Instagram platform for a week.
The project was made in the format of an online exhibition held on an instagram account. The installation was carried out in the space of an apartment. Sculptures suspended from yellow ropes. Every day I laid out a new combination of the composition. And I did 3 posts: photos, videos with the process, history. In the video, I showed the process of creating sculptures, creating installations, and just details.
Combinatorics and transformation are important in the installation. My project is conceived and is developing in the work in progress genre. In my work, I plan to further develop the theme of yellow. The project has started within the framework of the diploma and will probably continue, progress and change.
I created different variations of the installation. I changed the size of the sculptures, the number and also the mountings.
